For Teranga, we sought a visual language that reflects the brand's deep connection to nature and tradition. Earthy browns and sandy neutrals create a palette that feels organic and grounding.
The typography was selected to embody the organic imperfections found in African landscapes and botanicals: unrefined, raw, and beautifully irregular.
Just like the textures of plants and fruits, the letterforms carry uneven edges and a handcrafted feel. This natural aesthetic extends beyond the brand's typography, shaping the iconography and visual language across the website.
The photography focuses on authenticity, ensuring each image feels as pure as the products themselves.
We supplement the world with the richness of African herbal remedies, bringing their natural benefits and vibrant flavors to a global audience.
The journey begins at the entrance of a traditional African home, a symbol of warmth and hospitality. Just like in a real village, visitors are invited to step inside and explore.
Inside the village, products rest on the sand, just like in an open-air market. The packaging is raw and unbranded, reflecting freshly harvested goods. The focus stay on the product and its benefits. The experience is intuitive and tactile, as if picking from the market yourself.
An empty cart is a reminder of the season's harvest. A hollow gourd sits with a message from the villager: it's time to pick something from the fields.
Creating an account is becoming part of the village. The messaging is warm and familiar, reinforcing the feeling of being a guest in the village.
Even in the village, it's easy to wander off the path. We decided to have fun with Teranga's 404 page, as a gentle nudge and reminder from a local, guiding you back home.
With Teranga, we managed to create a strong brand identity, with focus on storytelling. The brand taught us to celebrates value in imperfections, sharing a beatiful, raw, unfiltered reality and trying to valorize it.
